BUFFALO—Mayor Byron Brown and the Buffalo Economic Renaissance Corporation President Timothy Wanamaker are proud to present Ms. Deborah Clark, owner of “Delish!” on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo with the 2006 Small Business of the Year Award.

“Small businesses are so important to the City of Buffalo and our commercial districts,” said Mayor Byron Brown. “I am proud to present her with this award. Debbie Clark’s dedication to Delish and to the City of Buffalo is the reason she was selected for this honor.”

Delish is comprised of three divisions, a retail pastry shop, a cooking school and a wholesale bakery. Delish’s desserts are featured at many area restaurants.

“Deborah Clark’s Delish is a great example of how well our Entrepreneur Assistance Program works for small business owners,” said BERC President Timothy Wanamaker. “Her location on the Elmwood Strip is ideal for her business. I believe Delish will continue to be successful and that is why BERC is giving Delish and Deborah Clark this award.”

Located at 802 Elmwood Avenue, Delish is in the heart of the Elmwood Strip, easily accessible by many neighborhoods and visitors from outside the city. “The support I received from the Entrepreneur Assistance Program made Delish possible,” said Deborah Clark, owner. “The program helped me to build the strong business plan that I used for Delish, and the support from everyone at BERC has been invaluable. I have recommended the program in the past and will continue to do so in the future.”

The award was presented to Ms. Clark at the 14th annual Western New York Small Business Week Luncheon at the Buffalo Convention Center.
