BUFFALO—Mayor Byron W. Brown, Chairman of the Buffalo Economic Renaissance Corporation and President Timothy E. Wanamaker are announcing the new schedule for the BERC’s Technical Assistance Workshops, sponsored by the BERC, The University at Buffalo’s East Side Neighborhood Housing Partnership, and SCORE.
“This is another way the BERC is helping our small businesspeople in the City of Buffalo,” said Mayor Brown. “These workshops will provide real hands-on lessons for individuals in business or thinking of going into business.”
The workshop schedule, available at www.berc.org, includes classes on marketing, financial issues, contract negotiations, certifying a women or minority owned business, as well as selling on eBay®.
“The BERC is proud to offer such a diverse range of workshops,” said BERC President Tim Wanamaker. “With the help of our partners, we are able to offer these workshops to better strengthen our local business owners and arm them with the knowledge they need to succeed.”
The workshops are held the second Wednesday of every month until May at the Apollo Media Center, 1346 Jefferson Avenue, Buffalo. There is a charge of $15 per class. For more information, contact the Apollo Small Business Resource Center at 716-881-2013.
